Dancing at the Athenian Corner

This is a four part video of a performance she did with a live band at the popular restaurant, The Athenian Corner, which is located in Lowell Massachusetts.

Here is the intro:

Just press the play button in the middle and wait a moment for it to load.

And then the second part:

The drum solo part:

And the finale, where she get some dollars:

Hope you enjoyed it.

A wing dance from the Assabet show in December 2007. She was sick as a dog and forgot her pillow, but the show must go on! Oh the drama!

It's been awhile since Julyana has performed and been videotaped. This is a theatrical improvisation to a song by Edith Piaf and a song called "Amantsi". The performance was on November 1st, 2008 at the Grand Opening of a local studio.

This newer version of Belly dancer/Snakecharmer is performed by Gypsy, Hasiah and Julyana

This was the premiere performance from Ambika Badi'ah at the "Fire in the Belly" hafla on March 24th, 2007. The troupe combines darker elements and tribal fusion moves. All dancers are from the Central Mass region.

Here's a mostly improvisational solo at the Northborough Town offices at Gypsy practice performance. This was on May 16th, 2007, and yes, it was raining like the dickens, thus the umbrella backdrop.  Many of the moves were inspired by Kami Liddle, Urban Tribal and Heidi from Domba. And, of course, Jim Boz for the butt moves. The moves were a combination of trial fusion, hip hop and Indian prayer.
